To me this looks not like a fox-dragon, but a wolf-dragon thing, because of it's long tail and body structure.

It reminds me of a Hydrus a.k.a. an egyptian fox-like creature, that eats alligators.

'Flying foxes' were what the settlers and explorers of the new world called bats. Methinks they drank sea water before landing.
