Father Time has been a prevalent part of many cultures throughout the ages. He is known as Pakiž in some countries and is even referred to as the "personification of time." He is usually depicted as an elderly bearded man, dressed in a robe, carrying an hourglass representing time's constant movement. This image derives from many sources, including the Grim Reaper and Chronos, the Greek god of time. Though not proven, it is often found that people pair Father Time with Mother Nature as a married couple because of their parental nature.
In some culturescultures, Father Time is only seen during the New Year. This is because he is thought to hand over the duties of the new year to Baby New Year,Year but again,again only in some cultures. Many belief that Father Time, like the Grim Reaper, is constantly watching us and has each and every one of our hourglasses slowly decreasing, sand casually slipping through the hands of time.
