I don't want to sound like a freak or anything, but i'm a half fairy. and what people dont realize is that they could be looking at fairies everyday. certain ones can change sizes thats why some cant be seen

I can tell you haven't studied the subject of "fairies"(I don't know if I said it right).
The legend of fairies has been around for centuries and they weren't meant to be bedtime stories.People actually believed in them before Walt Disney screwed up the entire myth and made people think that they were tiny little girls that wear tiny dresses and fly around using insect wings.They were also originally called fae.

Lendend has it that the Faerie (not modern adaption FAIRY) are shy nimble creatures who reside in spefic elemental climates. They might be whimsical and mischiveous, but harbor not interest in human affairs- thus legend goes that they do not emerge to entertain our imaginations. whether you believe in legends or the Fae, it is your choice; but it is arrogant and ignorant to mock something that is not there judt because you have never seen it, what a foolish way of thinking!

I think a more suitable title for this thread would be "to all close-minded fools" because you were talking about how it is foolish to not believe in something because you've never seen it and you were not talking about educated and open-minded people.I'm not trying to get you mad I'm just giving my opinion.

Fairies are popular magical creatures who have a long history in many cultures around the world.
Fairies look like tiny humans with butterfly-like wings. They are quite unpredictible and can change shape or become invisible at will. Fairies are creatures of nature, and make their homes in the untamed forests in trees. They are shy around humans and hide quickly when they come near. Though they have wings, many fairies prefer to ride on the backs of insects and birds to using their own wings.
To the Christians, fairies were fallen angels come to live on the earth, and were evil creatures.
African fairies are thought to be the souls of the dead, and aren't necessarily evil.

sometimes i close my eyes for a while and then open them and i see this blur in front of my face. the blur would be small and then i would rub my eyes and i would see it fro a second and then poof its gone. the bkur was always of a light colour like yellow, red, green, or purple

When i was a small child for yrs i saw this blackish figure walking around me or my house.It was a bit furry and i remember it being small. Sometimes it would sometimes startle me when it entered a room but it never caused any harm.

"Probably just a Brownie... They tend to stick to one house and if they are friendly enough they follow a person... I have had a brownie in my dreams and around my house but it never paticularly scared me because it never turned into a boggart..." yea i think it sounds like it was a brownie 2 if you said it was small and black they tend to be that color.

In terms of body and powers there are no major accepted differences. Many things attributed to one of these is often synonymous with the other.
However, pixies are of British (or Celtic) origin while fairies stem from mainland Europe. Mythology tells of a time when the fairies first came to Britain and fought a war with the pixies. The pixies won and drove the fairies out of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset.
