Cryptozoology

Some mythical creatures are thought to be potentially real, but undiscovered or lacking enough evidence for absolute proof.

Cryptozoology

Cryptozoology is the modern study of reports of animals which might be real, such as the Loch Ness Monster, Yowies, Thunderbirds, etc., including a few which have now been proved to be true, such as dinosaurs.

The following creatures and beasts are sometimes studied by cryptozoologists. Are they real, hoaxes or just figments of our imagination? Tell us what you think or share your stories by starting a thread below.

History actually has a television program, Monsterquest, which reveals the truth of legendary monster sightings around the world.

History.com’s minisite (http://www.history.com/monsterquest) features information on cryptozoology, a MonsterPEDIA, information on the new season and much more.
