Chenoo are stone giants from Iroquois tribes folklore (North America).
The giants are send to fight amongst themselves with uprooted trees and large boulders, never knives, arrows, or spears. They are scared of humans and will camouflage themselves by such total immobility that they blend into the surrounding landscape.
There have been tales where shamans have forced such creatures to obey them.

I need help in my history class. We are studying world mythology, and I need a name to fit these specs:
These creatures take a human form, but can also take certain animal forms, according to the person. They can feel and sometimes feed off of energy. They speak mainly mentally to their own kind. |
