The Apple Tree Man lives in a single tree in an orchard. He moves from orchard to orchard and brings with him his treasure which he stores underneath the tree. Many owners of orchards, if they happen to discover that he's in the area, will dig at the roots of their trees to try and find the treasure but often this spooks the Apple Tree Man who quickly moves on, taking his treasure with him.

Otherwise the Apple Tree Man exists to supervise the blossoming and ripening of the fruit. He may be related to the malign Green Man.
