Not saying that they don't. But love is an easily misunderstood emotion. Love and lust are easily confused, as I stated before But WHY would the creature watch some human from afar? It's not just going to pick someone because he sees them once or twice and they act different. That only happens in books and cheesy movies. (; Not real life. I mean, if that were the case then nearly every creature would fall for a human, reveal themselves because they either loved/lusted them and their exisitance wouldn't be a secret. See where I'm going with this? It dosen't seem very likely.

Were first read about in the famous novel Dracula by Brian Stocker (sorry if anything is spelled wrong) It was that story that led to many more Vampires were first to blood sucking killing machines ,and the only way to kill them is stake through the heat or cut there head off of set on fire also they can't tough crosses holly water , garlic and ather relion stuff.But as time past by his story was changed and new legand begun vampire started to change and become gentle creatures some even worship them but in all this time forgeting that they fictoinal charters in one mane story ,but if you do not agree with me then thats your bad cause I'am never going to change my ways

Also, a long time ago - like a loooong time ago, it was believed that it the family did not sacrifice blood at the funeral of an important family member (i.e. a father or husband) then that member would come back to claim his blood. Therefore at burial ceremonies it was not uncommon to see women scratching at their faces to produce blood for this offering.
People would also go into cataleptic state, maybe after having epileptic seizures or whatever. These people would be pronounced dead because they had no response to outside stimuli, were breathing so lightly people did not notice, and their pulses were hardly recognizable. Because some people were buried like this but still alive, they would awaken and turn over in their coffins before suffocating to death. Of course, when weird things started happening around villages, the folk began digging up the most recent graves to see if anyone had come back from the dead and of course, bodies were occasionally found turned over and the person was thought to had come back from the dead.
Yes, Nirah is correct, the myth of the vampire has been around for ages. Probably even before literature in the written form has even existed. It has just evolved and change in various cultures.
